Behavioral Improvement

  • Kindergarten through Fourth Grade Students will have the opportunity for behavioral improvement based on individual classroom policies.  The consequences for unacceptable behaviors may include minors, majors or a missed recess time(s).  Academic/study habit/behavior minors may result in morning or lunchtime recess detentions or after school detentions.

  • When a student receives three minors, he/she will be issued a Mjor Discipline Form.  This is a serious event and will be sent home as soon as possible.  This should be returned signed by a parent on the next school day.  A Major will result in a detention, a conference with the parent(s) and possibly with the principal.  In the case of a serious violation of school rule/policy, a Major may be issued rather than a minor.  This is a rare occasion and considered serious.

All Grade Levels

  • Discipline Minors/Majors may be issued by principal, teachers and other adults in authority.
  • A detention (recess or after school) will be issued if a student has been tardy five times.
  • A detention will be issued when a student has received 5 late work lunches.
  • No student will be excused from serving a detention. Parents must provide the necessary transportation.
  • Desks and lockers are school property and may be searched at any time.
The principal’s decision is final in all cases.

About

St. Isidore was a farm hand. He was born near Madrid, Spain in 1070. He attended mass every morning at a Madrid church before he set out for work as a farm laborer.  Isidore and his wife vowed celibacy in gratitude for a miracle which saved their son from drowning in a well. They were known for their holiness and care of the poor. St. Isidore died May 15, 1130. He was canonized with other Spaniards - St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Francis Xavier, and St. Teresa of Avila on March 12, 1622.
