The Knights of Columbus – Father John Guiney Council 8522 invited all police, firefighters, Sheriff’s deputies, emergency medical technicians, rescue workers and their families of all faiths, as well as all parishioners and the general public to attend the Blue Mass.
The Blue Mass takes its name from the blue uniforms worn by police, fire and emergency services personnel. The Mass also serves as a remembrance for the First Responders who died during the September 11, 2001 attacks. The Knights of Columbus regard as heroes the public safety personnel who literally put their lives on the line in service of the people in their communities every day.
