The Hail Marys are prayed in a rosary format, but in groups of one hundred instead of the normal decades. This results in 20 separate groups with 20 prescribed intercessions, as listed in the side bar. Additional personal intentions are also written down and placed in a basket. Each group of one hundred Hail Marys is led by a different member of the group who also reads the particular intercession.
The devotion begins with a potluck breakfast after Saturday Mass at about 9:00 AM and lasts until done, usually after 5:00 PM. A regular group of about 30 or more people come and go as their schedules permit, although some stay the whole time. Similar to First Friday Eucharistic Adoration, there is a group always present throughout the day.
If you are interested, just drop in ready to pray any first Saturday of the month. Come when you can. Leave when you must.
