THE FIRST FRUITS OFFERING
The first fruits offering is based on faith: faith in the fact that giving God the first sets the course for the blessings to be released on the rest…faith that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God give us the opportunity to align our lives, our finances, our careers, our families when we follow God’s amazing principle, every area of our lives come into alignment and blessing for the whole year.
“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest.” Leviticus 23:10
“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.”

“If the part of the dough offered as first fruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.” Romans 11:16

One hour pay, one day pay, one week pay, one month pay = First Fruits
The principle of first fruits has literally transformed my life. Not only has this promise been a personal blessing to me, but I’ve seen it work in the lives of others. That is why I am honored to share this with you.
I heard about this principle from some of my Christian co-workers years ago but I never really paid attention to it, until after I enrolled in the Bible School in the Diocese of Chicago that I start searching and looking for the scripture that talked about this principle, and still then I put it in the back of my mind and never really tried to do this.
Then in 2007 the company that I was working for at that time filed for bankruptcy, and while everybody was nervous about our situation I had this Christian friend (Gwen) who had this amazing peace that I could not understand why. Then curiosity got the best of me and I asked her, she told me plainly that she had the Lord’s promise that He will provide for her and her family. I asked why. She said because at the beginning of the year in the month of January I gave my First Fruits to the Lord! Then I remembered and it has been a journey of amazing discovery!
In 2008 I gave my First Fruits offering to the Lord, I can tell you of many miracles by the hand of the Lord at work in my life and I can ask many people from the Spanish speaking community to give you their life’s testimonies about this principle. It is awesome. January is the most important of the year to establish what happens to the rest.
From the very beginning, God reveals His purpose for your life and carries it throughout the entire Word of God. He wants to conform the character of His Son Jesus Christ in you personally. As we individually embrace this continual process of change, a transformed people, “His Church” will come forth to bring reformation and advance the kingdom of God.
When you learn the principle of first fruits you will begin to see a perfect alignment of your destiny with God’s plan and purpose. His patterns and principles were established long before man ever had a revelation or a vision. They are unchanging. God’s principles propel you into His promises!
As I have experienced in my own walk with God, the principle of first fruits unlocks doors and releases promises. If we want God’s greatest blessings, we must embrace His highest purpose.
The key is living according to His principles. Just like anything else in life, there is a cost to attaining Gods best. We must be willing and obedient to live a yielded and surrendered life. We must be willing to give God what we love the most. And this is the foundation of the idea of first fruits.
God always sees our sacrifice and He is going to pour out His reward! Aligning with GOD’S principles by putting Him first brings His favor, His blessing, and a satisfied life.
At the beginning of January I always invite the Spanish Bible group to give God the First Fruits offering. Last year I invited the English and Spanish RCIA to do this principle and this year I want to do it again because of the many blessing you receive when you are obedient to the Lord.
Primeros Frutos (mi testimonio)
El principio de los primeros frutos ha transformado literalmente mi vida. Esta promesa no solo ha sido una bendición personal para mí, sino que he visto las bendiciones en la vida de otros. Es por eso que me siento honrada de compartir esto con ustedes.
"Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Cuando entréis en la tierra que yo os daré, y seguéis su mies, entonces traeréis al sacerdote una gavilla de las primicias de vuestra cosecha." Levitico 23:10
"Honra al Señor con tus bienes y con las primicias de todos tus frutos." Proverbios 3:9
"Y si el primer pedazo de masa es santo, también lo es toda la masa; y si la raíz es santa, también lo son las ramas." Romanos 11:16
Escuché acerca de este principio de mis compañeros cristianos de trabajo hace años, pero nunca le presté atención, hasta que después de inscribirme en la Escuela Bíblica de la Diócesis de Chicago, comencé a buscar las escrituras que hablaban de este principio, y aun así lo olvidé y nunca intenté dar los primeros frutos.
Luego, en 2007, la empresa para la que trabajaba en ese momento se declaró en bancarrota, y mientras todos estaban nerviosos por nuestra situación, tuve una amiga cristiana (Gwen) que tenía una paz increíble y yo no podía entender el por qué.
Entonces la curiosidad se apoderó de mí y le pregunté, ella me dijo claramente que tenía la promesa del Señor de que Él proveería para a ella y su familia. Y yo le pregunte ¿por qué? ¡Ella me contesto y dijo; al principio de año en el mes de enero le di mis Primicias al Señor! ¡Entonces me acorde y ha sido un viaje de descubrimientos asombrosos!
En 2008 le di mi ofrenda de los Primeros Frutos al Señor, y ese mismo año mi esposo tuvo una Embolia Pulmonar, esos fueron los meses más duros de mi vida, pero el Señor estuvo con nosotros, el Señor sanó a mi esposo y aunque no pudo trabajar por casi un año, Dios proveyó para todas nuestras necesidades y más.
Puedo contarles muchos de los milagros que la mano del Señor ha obrado en mi vida y puedo pedirles a muchas personas de la comunidad hispana que les den su testimonio de vida sobre este principio, es asombroso. Este mes es el más importante del año para establecer qué pasa con el resto.
Desde el principio, Dios revela Su propósito para nuestras vidas y lo lleva a través de toda la Palabra de Dios. Quiere conformar el carácter de Su Hijo Jesucristo en uds. personalmente.
A medida que adoptemos individualmente este proceso continuo de cambio, un pueblo transformado, “Su Iglesia”, surgirá para traer reforma y promover el reino de Dios.
Cuando aprendas el principio de las primicias, comenzarás a ver una alineación perfecta de tu destino con el plan y el propósito de Dios. Sus patrones y principios se establecieron mucho antes de que el hombre tuviera una revelación o una visión. Son inmutables. ¡Los principios de Dios lo impulsan a cumplir Sus promesas!
Si su vida se está fuera de control, entonces es hora de poner primero lo primero de acuerdo con los principios de Dios. Dios tiene un tiempo y un propósito para todo. Para estar en armonía con la voluntad de Dios, debes seguir los preceptos de Dios.
Si no mantienes a Dios primero, tu vida se desequilibrará y perderá el orden.
Como he experimentado en mi propio caminar con Dios, el principio de las primicias abre puertas y libera promesas. Si queremos las mayores bendiciones de Dios, debemos abrazar Su propósito más elevado.
La clave es vivir de acuerdo con sus principios. No puede alegar promesas y violar principios para ver la provisión de Dios.
Al igual que cualquier otra cosa en la vida, obtener lo mejor de Dios tiene un costo. Debemos estar dispuestos y ser obedientes y someternos a Dios. Debemos estar dispuestos a darle a Dios lo que más amamos. Y este es el fundamento de la idea de las primicias.
¡Dios siempre mira nuestros sacrificios y va a derramar Su recompensa! Alinearse con los principios de DIOS al ponerlo a Él en primer lugar trae Su favor, Su bendición y una vida satisfecha.
A principios de enero, siempre invito al grupo bíblico en español a dar a Dios la ofrenda de las Primicias. El año pasado invité al RCIA en inglés y español a hacer este principio y este año quiero hacerlo nuevamente debido a las muchas bendiciones que reciben cuando son obedientes al Señor.
