  • Sacrament Preparation Session

    Facilitate and/or assist with Baptism preparation sessions and act as a host for Baptism families at Mass and at ceremonies on Sunday afternoons.
    Facilitate and/or assist with all-day Marriage preparation session called Becoming One, 
 for couples engaged to be married at our parish.

  • Hunger Ministries

    Pick up food from local retailers and producers for delivery to Neighborhood Food Pantries locations.
    Help pack meals for shipment to overseas locations where hunger is at its greatest.
    Help cultivate, plant, water, and harvest produce for local food pantries in our on-site garden.
    Prepare sloppy joes for delivery to the downtown Chicago location. Recipe provided.
    A leadership team in our parish that plans and organizes anti-hunger activities and events.
    Help organize the annual collection and delivery of Holiday Meal Boxes from Northern Illinois Food Bank to families in need.
  • Shelter Ministries

    Sign up to serve our homeless brothers and sisters in our Ministry Center on Monday nights or prepare food for their meals. (Youth are invited to serve with a parent or adult mentor.)
    Work with a team who accompanies a family in need [usually a single mother and her children] for a year as they work toward self-sufficiency in housing provided by Bridge Communities. Training provided.
  • Culture of Life Ministries

    Collaborate with other parishes in our area to organize and support pro-life activities and events.
    Create blankets that are brought to parish members who are sick assuring them that they are being covered with the prayers of our community.
    Collaborate with members of area parishes to support the unemployed and underemployed through programs and services in their goal to achieve gainful employment.
    Work with our diocesan Office of Peace and Social Justice to advocate and work for systemic change to bring about justice in our society’s institutions and practices.
    A team of parishioners who work together to assess and provide for the needs of families and individuals living within our parish boundaries.
    Work side by side with immigrant neighbors who are learning English in order to find their way in our culture and society.

    A charitable and social service organization of Catholic women open to all women of the parish.

  • Music Ministries

    Parishioners with a musical gift and a strong singing voice lead the congregation in music at weekend Masses September through May and at other Major Parish Masses and events.

  • Buildings and Grounds

    7:30-9:30 am (Youth are invited to serve with a parent or adult mentor.)

  • Office and Finance

    Data entry, Filing, Phoning, Mail prep. As needed; schedule varies. (Youth are invited to serve with a parent or adult mentor.)
    Monday mornings 7:30 -9:30 am
    Meets 4-5 times per year to advise pastor and staff on parish budget and financial matters. Accounting and/or business background preferred.
  • Communications

    For publications and web applications. Expertise and/r experience in the field preferred.
    Serve as a writer, interviewer, or photographer.
    A welcoming hospitable presence providing information before and after Masses in the narthex.
    Will plan and coordinate the year-long celebration of our 100th birthday as a parish community in the year 2020.
