To give additional opportunities to worship together in person, we've added a Mass to our Sunday Schedule. That means we will need more volunteers, especially at the 8:30 and 11:30 Masses.
Team members and volunteers must not be part of a “vulnerable population” and have no underlying medical condition such as diabetes, lung disease, undergoing cancer treatment, etc.
Those over the age of 60 should consult with the Parish Leadership Team (reopen@stisidoreparish.org) about the possibly of serving as a volunteer. We ask all who are younger than 60 and healthy with no underlying health conditions to consider assisting with one of three reopening teams. We especially encourage high school, college students as well as young adults to serve and volunteer for teams.
- Greeting team. Greet congregants as they enter the church, checking them in based on their reservation, making sure are wearing a mask, use hand sanitizer, verbally confirm they are symptom-free in the last 24 hours, and directing them to ushers for seating. Arrive at least 20 minutes before Mass begins.
- Ushers. Assist worshipers to their seats, monitor proper mask use and safe distancing, guide traffic flow during Communion, and assist with dismissal by sections after Mass. Arrive at least 20 minutes before Mass begins.
- Cleaning team. Cleaning/sanitizing all touched surfaces and trafficked areas of the building after each Mass. Masks and gloves are provided if you do not have your own, in addition to approved cleaning/disinfecting supplies.
