Happy Fall! We have moved into that strange time of year where it’s hard to decide what to wear. Please make sure that your child has the appropriate outer wear for the chilly fall mornings.
Family Mass – Our 1st Family Mass of the school year is this Sunday at 8:30. 7th and 8th grade parents who are Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors will be serving. Hopefully many of our families from ALL grades will be attending. Students do not need to wear uniforms. It is simply a way to share our faith with each other by attending mass together.
FFF – The October Fun Food Friday Form is in the e-envelope this week. All orders are due by Thursday, Oct. 12th.
Chips & Chili – Don’t forget that the Portal is open to volunteer for Chips and Chili. Oct 14th will be here soon! We need food and alcohol donations. We especially need volunteers to sell tickets after Masses this weekend – sign up on the portal. The link for online ticket sales is http://chips2017.gesture.com. Tickets are $25 presale and $35 at the door. Please see school website for sponsorship and donation information and registration to enter the chili cook-off and cupcake competition. This event is assigned to sixth and first grades but we will need help from everyone to make this fun evening a success!
Football Mania – Congratulations to Edward Hensley who was our Football Mania Winner this week. He won $25!
Forms – We are still missing some forms from a few families. You should have turned in ALL forms at this point. That includes Medical, Dental, Transportation, Directory, Handbook Signature Page, Parent Volunteer Pledge, Internet Agreement (K-8). We have many missing Pledges and Handbook Signature Pages. Please complete these and send them in immediately. Internet Agreement Forms must be returned by Oct. 2 or your child will not be able to use any devices here in the building.
Safety Concerns – Before school drop off and after school pick up procedures are in place to help assure all students are safe. Please remind all people who drop off or pick up your children from school of the safety procedures. Popeye’s Parking Lot is only used for parking in a parking spot and walking your child to or from the safety zone. No student may be dropped or picked up from the Parish Parking Lots (on either side of the parish office). Please be sure to be respectful and careful when dropping off or picking up.
Halloween Party – Watch the e-envelope over the next few days for new information about the Halloween Party on Oct. 28th.
