Advent is just about over and we are ready to celebrate the birth of our Savior! The students have been preparing their hearts for the last few weeks. The 6th Graders helped us to do that by sharing their talents at the beautiful Live Nativity this afternoon. As we wrap up 2017, we look forward to beginning another calendar year. Here are a few reminders:
Red or Green – Students may dress down tomorrow in jeans (no sweats or athletic pants) and a red, green or Christmas Shirt. Dismissal is at 11:00 tomorrow to begin the Christmas Break.
Early Bird Drawing – Don’t forget to buy your Gala Raffle Tickets before tomorrow morning at 8:00AM so you can win the Early Bird Raffle! $250 will be awarded tomorrow morning right after the school day begins. You can buy tickets online or in the school office. You will receive a $12.50 credit for every $50 ticket you purchase or sell. Remember that the more tickets you sell, the more chances you have in the Tuition Raffle! 4 tickets = 1 chance, 6 tickets = 2 chances, 8 tickets = 4 chances.
Congratulations – Our 8th graders recently took the American Junior High Math Contest. Tied for 3rd place was Lucy Rogers and Emily Sansone. Second Place was Celesta Irawan. First Place was Mikayla Testolin. Nice job!
Football Mania – Congratulations to our F.M Winner this week. Elizabeth Egel won $25 on a ticket sold by the Rosenbloom Family.
Scholarship Update – The Tax Credit Scholarship will be ready for application on January 24th. Please be sure to check out the information on the website as there are some items that you will need to have available when you apply. If you are considering making a donation, the information is also available on the website.
Service Projects – Our students have been busy collecting items, making placemats and even making books for their younger friends this Advent Season. It is so heartwarming to see the generous spirit that they are so willing to share with others!
Parent Info – I am sure that many students will be receiving new “devices” for Christmas. In the e-envelope you will find some informative articles that will give you some tips on keeping your child safe online. I hope you find them helpful.
May your heart be filled with the gifts of this beautiful season – peace, joy and hope.
God bless you and those you love!
