The ABC Countdown tells us that the month is flying by! Remember that tomorrow is Fun Food Friday. Students may wear jeans, school appropriate shorts and spiritwear. If you did not order a lunch for your child, please be sure to send one.
Please keep our Second Graders in your prayers as they receive their First Holy Communion on Saturday.
FACTS Payments for 2018-2019 – Tuition Payments for the 2018-2019 school year will begin in July for those on the 10 payment plan. All payment plans will remain the same unless you choose to change them. If you would like to change your payment plan for the 18-19 school year, please call Mrs. Ann Hatt at 630-295-8327. Mrs. Hatt is the only one who is authorized to make payment plan changes. If you would like it to remain the same as the 17-18 school year, you do not need to do anything.
School Calendar – The 2018-2019 School Calendar is available in the e-envelope. Please take note that there is a 3 day weekend in October (not 4 day as in the past). There is also an extra-long Easter Break in 2019. The teachers will be attending the NCEA Conference in Chicago for 2 days after Easter.
13 Reasons – The Netflix Series “13 Reasons” is returning for a second season later this month. This is a very dark and intense drama that is not recommended for children under 15 years of age. Please see the e-envelope for a flyer with information from Miss Boulukos, our Social Worker.
Lunch Parents – It’s time to sign up to volunteer as a lunch parent. Please see the information in the e-envelope. This is a very need and much appreciated way to serve SIS. Please consider doing this next year!
Uniform Sale and Resale – The Uniform Sale and Resale is scheduled for May 29th 3:00-5:00PM in the gym. H.S.A. is coordinating the resale. Please see the e-envelope for information for both sellers and buyers. You can also order Gym Uniforms at this sale.
Social Media Postings – It is a busy time of year with many activities where many pictures will be taken. While I know that everyone wants to share these pictures with friends and family, the school name or logo cannot be used without specific permission from either Mr. Yerly, our Development Director, Father Jim or myself. Mr. Yerly posts many, many pictures of school events on the SIS Facebook Page, Instagram and the school website. Any photos on your personal accounts must not contain the school name or logo. I have copied and pasted the Social Media Policy that is listed in the Handbook. This comes directly from the Catholic Schools Office. Thank you for your caution and support in this manner.
Use of Official Name and Logo.
Any use of the parish/school name or logo for branding or titling pages, blogs, or other similar elements of social media (including Facebook pages, Twitter Feeds, etc.) must be approved in writing prior to use. Requests for prior consent to use such names or logos will be made to the Pastor/Principal or designee. Any uses in existence at the time of adoption of this policy are not grandfathered and would be authorized pursuant to this policy. Permission to use the name or logo of the parish or school may be revoked at any time.
St. Isidore School or Parish Name and/or Logo may not be used on any page that is not created and managed by the school or parish staff.
St. Isidore School has a website, a Facebook Page and some involvement with Twitter. These are all monitored by the principal and/or the Technology Director or Development Director. Under no circumstances can the school name or logo be used on social media without the specific permission from the principal or pastor.
