The 2017-2018 school year has ended! It has been a wonderful year filled with activities, experiences and growth in knowledge and faith. There are so many people to thank for their help and support this year – teachers, parents and students who have worked so hard and given their all! They are the reason the year has gone so well! It is always bittersweet to end the year. The students are truly missed during the summer months! There are just a few pieces of information to share as we close out the year.
Mass Tomorrow – Please join us as we end the year with mass at 8:15. Students will dress up for mass. After mass the students will return to their classrooms and be dismissed from there.
Medication – If your child has an epi-pen or other medicines in the office or school classrooms, please pick it up in the office no later than June 29th. All medications that are not picked up by that time will be destroyed.
Before and After Care Payments – Please send in all payments as soon as possible. We would like to “close the books” on this by next week.
Summer Office Hours – The school office will be open during the month of June with shortened hours – 8:00-2:00. The office will close for the month of July and then re-open on August 1st.
Time change for 2018-2019 – Our start time is changing for the 2018-2019 school year. We will start our school day 10 minutes earlier – at 7:50. Students may be dropped off at 7:30 (no earlier) in the front of the Ministry Center. They will enter the building at 7:40 and will be considered late if they are not in the building at 7:50. This will allow for some extra instruction time. Dismissal will remain the same at 2:55.
Summer To Do List – All medical paperwork for incoming new preschoolers, and all Kindergarten, Gr. 2 and Gr. 6 students must be in the school office by Friday, August 17th.
Sports Physicals – Sports Physicals must be turned in prior to the first practice. NO student may practice or play in a game if there is not a physical on file. The required physical for Gr. 6 will also count as the Sports Physical.
As we complete this school year and move into the summer break, I wish you all a safe and happy summer. I hope that you can relax and enjoy some time together as families.
