The Fall Book Fair is a huge success! Your child’s last chance to shop is tomorrow, Friday. The Book Fair closes at noon. Many thanks to Marcia Hagan and Erika Williams who have done a fantastic job of coordinating the Fall Book Fair! The students have been presented with a challenge. If we sell 800 books I will dress as a Gnome for a day! We are only a few hundred books away!
Rite of Enrollment – Our second graders will be receiving two sacraments this year – First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Each child will be signing a covenant that says he/she will be working with their family to prepare for these sacraments. Second graders will be presenting their Covenants at masses this weekend.
Mark Your Calendars – Grandparents’ Day is just a little over a month away. See the e-envelope for the Save the Date. Please share the information with your child’s grandparents. More info to follow soon.
Move Your Feet – Move Your Feet to give a child a seat is Friday, Oct. 19th. All students in all grades will “jog” around the school during their specials time. We join with all of the schools in the diocese to raise money for the Catholic Education Foundation. CEF awards scholarships to students in all schools, including SIS. Please send your donation in by Friday, Oct. 19th in an envelope marked “Move Your Fee”. Checks can be made out to SIS.
Halloween Party – The biggest family event of the year is just a few weeks away. Sign up on School Speak to volunteer and donate items. Use the RSVP in the e-envelope to register to attend the Oct. 27th Family Halloween Party.
Football Mania – Congratulations to our winners this week. John Kolozsy won $100. William Clifford won $25 on a ticket sold by the Sison Family. Sasha Ongtenego won $25 on a ticket sold by the Camara Family. Congratulations to all 3 of our winners!
Medical Paperwork – All medical paperwork is due immediately. If paperwork is not received by Oct. 15th, your child may not be able to attend school until it is received.
