As June comes to a close, I wanted to reach out to our families to wish you a wonderful 4th of July holiday. While our school office technically “closes” for the month of July, we check voicemail and email throughout the month, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us if needed. We will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner. As you can imagine, we have had an extremely busy June and are looking forward to some down time this July.
Over the past several weeks our school’s leadership team has participated in countless ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education), IDPH (Illinois Department of Public Health), and Diocesan webinars, Zoom calls, and in person meetings to create our local reopening plan. After multiple drafts, including input from school board members, we are confident in our school’s reopening plan for this fall. St. Isidore Catholic School will provide in person learning with campus and classroom modifications in place to support student’s safe return to school to the best of our ability. A remote learning option will be available for students unable to return to in person learning due to a documented medical condition. All other requests for remote learning will be handled on a case by case basis.
Our reopening plan was submitted to the Diocese of Joliet this morning for approval. I look forward to communicating our comprehensive plan to you as soon as we are given approval from the Diocese of Joliet.
Wishing you a wonderful July!
