Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am pleased to announce that our re-opening plan has been approved by the Diocese of Joliet and can now be released to our families. St. Isidore Catholic School looks forward to safely welcoming our students back to school on August 19th. While school may not look or sound the same, we can’t wait to open our doors for in person learning. The school’s Leadership Team has been working all summer to prepare for a safe return to school. We are confident our plan allows for that. Attached you will find our detailed plan. Please take the time to review the plan in its entirety.
In order to prepare effectively for the beginning of the school year, an email survey will be sent to all registered families the week of August 3rd. We kindly ask that you chose your preferred learning option at that time, as well as pose any feedback you may wish to provide. At that time all families will receive a map detailing arrival and drop off specifics, as well as first day of school specifics (the official ringing of the school bell and Mass). Furthermore, we are in the process of developing plans to address the New Parent Meeting, Supply Drop Off and Curriculum Night. We hope to have those specifics out soon as well.
When we said goodbye to 2019 and ushered in 2020, no one could have imagined the effects COVID would have on our world. Together our school and parish community have shown amazing faith and perseverance. I thank you for not only your constant support, but your unwavering patience throughout an unprecedented global pandemic.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school office at any time.
