Do you know about the St. Isidore Scrip program?
- Do you shop at Walmart, Target, Jewel, Meijers or Mariano’s?
- Do you purchase from Home Depot or Lowe’s?
- How about Amazon, Gap, Best Buy?
- Do you need stuff from Bed Bath or Beyond, a baby gift from Buy Buy Baby?
- Do you eat at Panera, Starbuck’s, Chipotle or Buffalo Wild Wings? How about Wildfire, Outback, Big Bowl or Black Angus?
- Do you need a Visa gift card or American Express gift card with no activation fees?
We have these and many more stores in our Scrip program.
Would you like to make these normal, everyday purchases and automatically deduct a portion of that value off your St. Isidore Tuition?
How about if it were as easy as downloading an electronic gift card onto your mobile device within 60 seconds while you’re at the store or restaurant?
If so, please continue reading and see what it takes to get started:

Scrip DOES NOT have an App in the App store but you can go to their mobile site (www.shopwithscrip.com) and save the site to your phone. Attached are what they look like on a cell phone (the icon and the login screen).
If you create an account, you can immediately join it to your checking account. And within minutes you can be up and running. You do not have to link it to your account, but this is how to take full advantage of it so you can download electronic gift cards to your phone. Otherwise, you will need to stick to when Scrip is processed at school before you can get a gift card.
There are 3 types of gift cards purchases:
- Physical gift cards
- Reloading physical gift cards
- eGiftCards called ScripNow
Physical Gift cards:
The school website will identify what days Scrip is processing. By that I mean those that do not link it to their checking account (some people just send checks to school) or those that need physical gift cards. Orders are usually processed on a Monday and are in school ready for pickup by the end of school on Thursday. Some stores do not have reloads or electronic gift cards, e.g. Dick’s Sporting Goods is one. In lieu of cash as graduation gifts, baptisms, etc., consider purchasing gift cards. American Express and Visa are also on Scrip gift cards. Which is great, because they do not have an activation fee.
Reloading physical gift cards:
Once you have a physical gift card that allows reloads, you can recharge the gift card using the website or the phone app. Again, if you have it connected to your checking, it will be immediate (60 seconds or less). If not, you will need to wait until Scrip is processed, your funds confirmed and your order approved. The ONLY reload that seems to take long is Meijers. Once your order is put in, Meijers takes about 24 hours for the balance to load on your card.
Electronic gift cards:
Electronic gift cards are very convenient. You can order an electronic gift card (ScripNow) and within 60 seconds (if your checking account is linked), it will download to your phone/account.
The website will show you the % rebate you get back. This is applied towards your tuition. For the most part, grocery store type places are about 3%. Restaurants go as high as 12%. Before you make a purchase, always check to see if you can use a gift card. Don’t forget the Home Depots, Lowe’s, Gap, etc….
And REMEMBER, consistency is the best. Don’t think that 3% is so small that you will just bypass the gift card program. You will be surprised how fast it all adds up!
