We are all shaped by a story. The choices we make, the way we live, the things we believe—the way we see life itself—are the result of the stories that we have accepted as truthful accounts of reality.
Our modern world presents the story that we are personally liberated, no longer connected to anything beyond ourselves, free to do whatever we like. And we have never been as unhappy.
The Rescue Project proposes a simple question: what if there’s a different story—a story that engages people to answer the deepest cries of the human heart?
During the season of Lent, we have spiritual opportunities to grow in our relationship with Jesus, allotting time for opportunities like Confession, attending the Parish Mission and doing works of Mercy. Please consider joining The Rescue Project starting on Thursday, February 5, from 7 to 9 pm.
Attending The Rescue Project gives you an opportunity to gather as faith community, with a meal and conversations that helps us to not focus so much on the rules, but on the relationship, that is being offered to us in Christ. We hope to see you this Lenten season to grow together in our walk with Jesus.
The Rescue Project will be held on eight consecutive Thursdays from 7 to 9 pm in the lower level of the Chapel: February 5, 12, 19 and 26, and March 5, 12, 19 and 26. Todos estamos formados por una historia. Las decisiones que tomamos, la manera en que vivimos, las cosas en las que creemos —la forma en que vemos la vida misma— son el resultado de las historias que hemos aceptado como relatos verdaderos de la realidad.
Nuestro mundo moderno presenta la historia de que estamos personalmente liberados, ya no conectados con nada más allá de nosotros mismos, libres para hacer lo que queramos. Y nunca hemos sido tan infelices.
El Proyecto Rescate propone una pregunta sencilla: ¿y si existe una historia diferente —una historia que involucre a las personas a responder a los clamores más profundos del corazón humano?
Durante la temporada de Cuaresma, tenemos oportunidades espirituales para crecer en nuestra relación con Jesús, dedicando tiempo a oportunidades como la Confesión, la participación en la Misión Parroquial y la realización de obras de Misericordia. Por favor, considere unirse a El Proyecto Rescate, que comienza el miercoles 4 de febrero, de 7 a 9 p. m.
Asistir a El Proyecto Rescate le brinda la oportunidad de reunirse como comunidad de fe, con una comida y conversaciones que nos ayudan a no centrarnos tanto en las reglas, sino en la relación que se nos ofrece en Cristo. Esperamos verle esta Cuaresma para crecer juntos en nuestro caminar con Jesús.
