Our Organic Garden Ministry
…plants and tends a garden here on our parish grounds each growing season. All of the food harvested each year is donated to local food pantries. We grow just about every kind of vegetable imaginable, including beans, carrots, beets, spinach, cabbage, radishes, lettuce, and tomatoes!
Commitment: We are always in need of people to pitch in. You can sign up for as few as 1-2 weeks per season to water and weed the garden, or you can help each week with these tasks as well as harvesting and delivering the food! Many hands make light work. We amend the garden at the end of April and finalize the harvesting and cleanup by the beginning of October.
